| Stiff-arming Curious George on Superbowl Sunday! |
| Growing up so fast! |
| The interactions with George continue! |
This month flew by! I feel like I was just blogging his 9 month post (since it was late!) Nolan continues to be such a delight to be around. We had a lot of fun with this photo shoot - especially with the chair photos. Lots of funny out takes!
| One of the rare photos without him grabbing the monkey! |
| Silly time! Practicing his "scooting" technique and making mom freak out that he may fall off the chair! |
| So funny! |
| A deep convo with George |
| His crossed feet kill me. He does this while drinking his bottles <3 |
| Bottom teeth! |
| Arm around George |
| Or maybe a "face wash" (hockey lingo) |
| Split while holding George's hand |
| Nonchalant hand hold. |
| Having so much fun! |
This month, he wasn't really feeling the floor photos. He'd flip on his stomach almost immediately after laying him on his stomach. Lots of distractions were required to get any photos!
| Watching dad and showing off his new top tooth! |
| And he flipped over. |
| Someone crashed the photoshoot. Nolan "swimming" - he still hasn't mastered crawling |
| Brothers hanging out |
| Back on his back - you can see his top teeth coming in. |
| What's up |
| Cutie |
| Hands that never stop moving |
| Babbling |
| That's a wrap. |
10 Month Notables:
- Ear infections. Nolan continued to have ear infection troubles, and got ear tubes placed today. He was such a champ through the whole thing, and we hope he will recover fast and be in much less pain in the future.
- Teeth: In addition to his first front (top) tooth coming in (#3), we can see at least 3 more teeth poking through his top gum! It looks like the other top is coming as well as the 2 front canines. Between the teething and ear infections, sleep has been touch and go in our house this month.
- Crawling: Not much to report here. He doesn't have much interest! He can drag his body in a circle and a few feet in each direction, but doesn't get up on his knees. He usually just gets frustrated, and is much more interested in walking.
- Walking: Nolan is getting stronger and stronger walking. At this point he only uses our hands for slight balance adjustments, but he is pretty sturdy on his feet. He can walk on his own with his walker, which we've caught on video - must post.
- Cruising: Nolan is just figuring out cruising. We practice on the l-shaped seating in the playroom - he can "walk" along the couch/ottoman by holding on to the edges. Only a few steps at a time right now, but is also getting more graceful in his falls (gently on his butt).
- Eating: We are working on adding more finger foods to Nolan's diet. He's getting good at self feeding. He's great with puffs, baby mum mum crackers, rice cakes, cheerios, goldfish (broken into smaller pieces), and bread. He still gets fruits and veggie purees although I'd like to start giving him steamed veggies to try as finger foods once I get past my fear of him choking (he's already given me scares!)
- Sippy Cup: The Dr would like Nolan to be bottle-free by 12 months (15 at latest), so we've been working on introducing the sippy cup. We've had the best success with him drinking from a straw since he can't figure out how to tip the cup back for the spout ones.
- Babbling: He continues to babble away, and we've been catching new sounds every once in awhile, but he's mostly stuck on the "dada's" and likes to experiment with different rhythms and octaves. It is the cutest thing. I love his little voice.
I can't believe there are only 2 months of photos left until he is One. I haven't decided what to do after that (the sticker set i ordered only goes to 12), but I think I may want to continue monthly shots for a bit longer since we've enjoyed them so much.
