LBI

Last weekend Nolan got to see the Ocean again! This time in Long Beach Island, NJ. He and I took a day trip to LBI for a girls "Daisy weekend" that my mom side of the family does every year in honor of Emily. Everyone brings items for our fundraiser's silent auction, which is so touching.

Pretty LBI
Nolan and I left early to beat the traffic and got there surprisingly fast - in just under 2 hours from the Philly area. We hung out at the beach and walked around with Nonna while we waited for the rest of the girls to arrive.

Nolan liked it, I swear!

Nolan had a great visit with the family. He showed off to everyone how he's learning to walk, and (as expected) got into all drawers/cabinets etc in a different house :)

The little stinker was so wound up (he slept the whole ride there) that he refused any naps! So instead we played around with him for a cute photoshoot on his daycare nap mat.

Gotcha!

Hiding under the covers is so fun!

It was a great little getaway. Nolan was a trooper and hung in there through dinner (past his bedtime and without a nap), and passed out the entire way home giving me a nice and peaceful drive. He didn't even wake up when I transferred him from the car to the crib (a first!)

Of course, before we left, Emily had to let us know that she appreciated this Daisy Club tradition. Hi Em. We sure do miss you.
