The Friday before Labor Day Nolan's school was closed for a Teacher work day, so I took the day off and Nolan and I met Joe after his shortened "summer Friday" workday around 2pm at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden. We had a great time!
 |
| Sharks, Rays, and Fish! |
Nolan dressed for the occasion! Onesie with a "pirate" Octopus, Turtles, and Fish, and Shark Socks!
 |
| Penguins! (Don't worry they are from S Africa and prefer warmer environments!) |
They had a giant area just for the hippos! There were 2 that swam around and around underwater RIGHT next to the glass. They even were doing underwater rolls. Very cool, and hard to picture them being such dangerous animals!
 |
| Hippos were the family favorite! So big and so close!! |
The aquarium had 4 different zones and we hit them all. We loved the last zone best that had the Hippos and Shark Tunnel (surrounded by water)
 |
| Visually Stunning |
The aquarium also had a big kids zone and several hands on exhibits to touch the animals, but Nolan was still a bit young for both. Next time!
 |
| Hippo, pretty view of Philly, and cool fish |
 |
| Shark Tunnel! |
 |
| Look Mommy! |
After we walked through the Aquarium, we walked along the Schuykill River Front that had a pretty view of the Philly Skyline (but bad for photos since it was directly into the sun) and the Blue Ben Franklin Bridge. We stopped to take some cute Philly themed photos :)

| Mom and a serious Nolan |
Nothing that a little tickle couldn't fix!

| Loves being on Daddy's shoulders! |
We had fun, Adventure Aquarium! We'll be back :)
