Linvilla Farms Pumpkinland!

Back in early October, we continued our annual tradition of visiting Linvilla Farms Pumpkinland. Even though we went a week or two later than last year, the weather was unseasonably warm - almost too hot! Nolan only had his flannel shirt on for these photos, then we took it off for just a short sleeved shirt for the hay ride/stroll around the petting zoo.

Linvilla Farms - 2012 and 2013.

Just like last year, Nolan was mesmorized by the surroundings and hustle and bustle of the place. This meant it was extremely hard to get him to look at the camera.

Love those curls in the back of his hair

Cool variety of pumpkins and gourds available
Nolan is big enough to "get" the concept of sticking his head through these displays now. So much fun :)

We also can start measuring Nolan's height each year now that he can stand. He's just under 2.5ft at 18 months. Should be interesting to take the same photo next year! I also want to start a height measurement at home and may DIY the wooden ruler that is now all over the internet/pinterest with some scrap wood we already have.
Two foot one year old.
After walking around pumpkin land, we boarded up for Nolan's first hay ride! They had tons of carts going to keep up with the crowd demand so the wait was very short, and it was well worth it. Nolan was mesmerized by the tractor and we had front row spots to watch the entire ride! The ride lasted about 10-15 minutes and gave us a pretty view of all the farm land along with the driver providing information about what was grown in each area.

Waiting in line for the hay ride!

Our view - Nolan was in heaven!

Mid ride. I don't think Nolan took his eyes off the tractor

After our ride, we took a few more photos with the pumpkinland decorations then headed down the trail to visit the farm animals (chickens, ducks, goats, horses, cows). They have food available to feed them, but we'll wait until he's a little older to partake. We ended our visit with a trip to the farm store to pick up some freshly picked apples, apple cider, and cider donuts - yum!

We had a great time at Linvilla yet again! We're so lucky to have this place only 10 minutes away from our house. We've learned that people drive from all over the PA/NJ/DE area to come here (the parking lot must have had over 100 cars - and this was early Oct!), but I can understand why! We've gone several times throughout the year and it is always a good time. We'll be back soon, Linvilla!
