In continuing to play catch up - here is a look into our Easter from earlier this Spring!
The Easter season started off with a very unsuccessful Easter Egg hunt in Newtown. The only upside of this event is that we got a semi-decent photo with the Easter bunny (Emmy was having none of it, so I got to be in it too!)
It was all downhill from there. First off, it was FREEZING. Secondly, it was very apparent to me once we got there that the child:egg ratio was way off. There needed to be like 10x more eggs on the field.

| This math doesn't add up. |
We got there a bit too early and Nolan lost all interest by the time the hunt started.
 |
| Are we done yet mommy? |
 |
| Trying to psyche him up, but failing! |
The hunt was over in approximately 5 seconds. I abandoned trying to get any photos in the chaos and instead grabbed an egg or two myself just to ensure Nolan would get at least one! He ended up with 3 total. Screams erupted everywhere from kids that didn't get many eggs, and parents all left pretty unhappy. I think we'll be finding another hunt next year ;) We defused the situation by promising an awesome hunt at Nonna and Pop Pop's for Easter!
The Easter season wouldn't be complete without torturing your kids with the mall Easter bunny!! He had a 50% approval rating this year...

| You can't win them all! |
On Easter Day, we did small baskets for them at our "Clum House" before heading over to Nonna and Pop Pop's.

| Nolan so excited about the new Peanuts Movie! |

It wouldn't be Easter without dyeing eggs! Nolan loved it!
 |
| Proud boy with his Easter Eggs! |
Off we went to Nonna and Pop Pop's for our family's big Easter get-together. We usually have around 60 people over! The "Easter Bunny" (aka Aunt Peggy - a long standing tradition) also visited!

| You can't fool this kid - he knew who it was :) |
The weather was much warmer so we got to spend some nice time playing in their big back yard!
 |
| My parents got a swingset for their grandkids - spoiled much?! :) |
This Easter Egg hunt did not disappoint!
 |
| Ready to go!! |

 |
| So Happy!! |
 |
| Look at all the eggs!! Jackpot! |
It was a great holiday! I am very thankful to live closer now that it is very easy to do these day trips and ensure our kids grow up knowing their grandparents and extended family!
