Nolan meets Santa!

Last weekend, we took Nolan to meet Santa for the first time! It was a big unknown of how he would react, and Joe and I had no idea of what to expect in terms of lines since we were going to the King of Prussia Mall - the largest mall in America by square footage (which happens to be the closest mall to our house).

Our plan of attack was to visit as soon as the mall opened on Sunday morning hoping we'd beat the crowds. The mall opened at 9am, and Santa opened at 10am so we came early and were the first in line by far... guess arriving 45min before Santa was not necessary! We still had a great visit, and Nolan wasn't phased at all when I handed him over to Santa. I still think Santa is kinda creepy in general, so we have a pretty tough cookie on our hands :)

Without further ado, here is Nolan's big debut with Santa!

The mall setup was pretty efficient. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. We bought the package that gave us access to all the digital photos. Below are the other pics that didn't make the cut as "the one" for the printout above:

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. We were prepared for potential screaming kid photos (which would have been classic in its own way...), but instead got some pretty decent photos. Nolan doesn't exactly look overjoyed (I'd describe as "unsure"), but we'll take it! My biggest complaint was the set of the photo - just a huge kinda beat up couch not decorated with anything Christmasy. It was a shame because the Santa area had a gigantic tree with motorized ornaments and lots of decorations, but none of that was captured in the photo. We'll see where we end up next year!
