Today is Nolan is 9 months old!!! We are planning his photoshoot on Saturday (weekdays are too hard to fit the photoshoot in, plus the natural light is mostly while we are at work!). In the meantime, I'm still catching up on a bunch of Christmas posts!
This year, we decided to stay home on Christmas Eve and let Nolan have Christmas morning at his own house. Joe and I exchanged presents on Christmas Eve after Nolan went to bed and got everything ready for our trip the next day so Christmas morning would be all about Nolan opening his first Christmas presents! I have the entire thing taped on our video camera, which I still need to upload, but in the meantime, here are the photos from the morning.

| Ready for more presents from Grandma and Grandpa! |
We had a great first Christmas with Nolan! It was nice to spend the morning with our little family and experience Nolan's first gifts together. We just picked out a few items knowing we'd be getting a lot from family. Nolan still loves all of his new toys - especially the instruments and shape sorter!
Nolan must have been very excited for Christmas morning (or, more accurately, developing another ear infection) because he was up a ton a times the night before Christmas making for a long day ahead of us! After opening presents at home, we packed up the car and headed to Joe's sister Jessica's house (about an hour away) for lunch and presents opening with his family. After lunch, we drove another hour and a half to NJ where we had dinner with my parents at our good family friends' house. We finished opening presents the day after Christmas with my family and friends. There are a bunch more blog posts coming with photos from all these events!
It was nice to be able to come home and relax for a long weekend before heading back to work. We fit in another fun trip with Nolan - this time to the "Please Touch" Museum in Philly! It was a really great break and holiday season!
