Please Touch Museum

Our last post from Christmas break! One of our goals was to do some fun family outings during our time off - so we headed to the "Please Touch" Children's Museum in Philadelphia with our friend Virginia and her daughter Cylar. Virginia and Kevin have family passes to the museum so we were able to get in for free with guest passes. It is such a fun place and we may look into getting family passes ourselves in a year or two when Nolan can do more at the museum.

Virginia and Cylar in the transportation area of the museum

Nolan was fresh off a nap so he started off in the stroller
Cylar watching the feathers whirl in the wind machine

Joe playing in the science area - fun for all ages :)
Cylar loves this museum!
Ready for the next section of the museum!
Time to go grocery shopping! They had an entire miniature grocery store with play food and checkout counters!
Nolan and a cucumber :)
Checking out the cauliflower
Cylar raided the bread section
Nolan found Dad's product!

In the Alice in Wonderland Section

Looking unsure about this whole milking the cow thing...

Walking around like a big boy

Checking out more of the museum
Nolan's favorite area = the music area!
Cylar and Nolan playing piano
The highlight of the experience for us was having Nolan go on his first carousel ride! I had no idea what to expect so I chose a non-moving horse near a bench in case Nolan started freaking out. Turns out he LOVES the carousel and had so much fun! Looking forward to many future rides :)

Mom making sure he is secure, Nolan is in amazement

Cylar on the nearby more advanced horse that moves up and down

Here we go!!

Nolan figuring this thing out

Consensus - he LOVES it!

Having so much fun!

Cylar opting for the bench after a little bit

Still having fun!

Holding on to the pole like a big boy!
After the carousel, we went to a few more areas before it was nap time! This museum was huge and could easily provide hours of entertainment - we made it about 1.5hrs before the kids were ready to drop.

Cylar the boat captain!
Joe was very entertained by the creepy mannequins in one section of the museum and proceeded to get a ton of creepy photos that will haunt my nightmares!

How scary is this guy???

Straight out of a horror movie. Why is this in a children's museum??

Back to the cute kids checking out the rest of the museum....

Cylar and the Swan

Nolan loved the water table! Too bad he was way to short to reach...

Kids and moms.

Overall it was such a fun time!! We hope to fit in a lot more trips like this in the future. Nolan gets more interactive by the day. Our next goal is to get to the Aquarium as Nolan is transfixed by the fish tanks in PetSmart when I pick up Dean's food :)
