American Helicopter Museum

Meanwhile, back in... late July (yes, I'm catching up!), we decided to check out the American Helicopter Museum down the road in West Chester, PA to treat our little helicopter-loving child. This place did not disappoint! Nolan was in love :) They have dozens and dozens of real helicopters throughout history both inside in a giant hanger and outdoors. Nolan's favorite moment of the day was probably when we were outside and saw the small planes land only 50-100ft away on the runway next to the museum for the tiny West Chester airport. We heard many squeals of delight!

The best is that there are several helicopters that are open to climb in and explore. I was most amazed by the search and rescue helicopter that was gigantic and used by the military - it could easily hold at least 20 people plus cots for injuries. Nolan loved the smaller helicopters that he had access to all the controls!
Pilot Nolan!

Oooooooh!

Co-pilot Joe says all systems go!

Mommy as copilot now!

When are we going back?

Definitely a fun indoor activity that is nearby! I'm sure we'll be back again :)
