Getting our Christmas Tree!

Continuing on with the abundance of Christmas posts, here's our post about getting our Christmas Tree - always such an exiting day getting ready for the holidays!

We've always been a "real tree" family - I love the whole experience - going to the tree farm, bringing it home on top of the car, decorating it, watering it, and (best of all) the SMELL!

We went back to the same place in Newtown we did last year (King's Indian Head Farm) that is nearby since we've loved the quality of the trees (barely any needles shedding!) and very reasonable prices. We wandered around a little bit until we found the perfect one <3

I love tree farms!

We found our tree!
Family photo with this year's tree!

We also got this fresh wreath for our front door. Nice modeling, Deaner!

Checking the lights before decorating the tree

Dean helps too! :)
Each kid gets to pick their first ornament to decorate with! Emmy chose a train and Nolan chose an elf he made last year. Love their matching Science shirts "Science - like magic, but real" :)

Hanging the ornaments is so much fun! The kids didn't want them to end.

The finished product. You can tell which ones the kids did - a little bottom heavy ;)
how many stuffed animals can we put on the very lowest branches? ;)
So proud!

Who's excited for Christmas?!?!?

And no holiday season is complete without MATCHING SANTA PAJAMAS! The kids love 'em!

The Emmy and Nolan show!!

We're ready, Santa!!
