A Big Pile of Leaves!

What's a beautiful fall in Pennsylvania without a big pile of leaves?! This year we continue the tradition of playing in the leaves in late Autumn with Nolan :)

After our big red maple in our front yard had shed most of it's beautiful red leaves, we raked them up, threw in our halloween pumpkin and plopped Nolan down. At first he was unsure...

...then he got upset.

But luckily Daddy jumped in to save the day with some upside down head dunks into the leaves :) Nolan loves anything that flips him around! You can even see our newly painted Navy front door in some of these photos. It used to be white.

After the fun, he warmed up a bit to exploring the leaves. Then Daddy got behind the camera so I could join in on the fun!

I'm loving this tradition. Nolan was so much more interactive with the leaves this year (last year he just laid still in a trance!) All his toddler emotions come and go with the drop of a hat, and these photos capture them all.

The whole thing only lasted 5-10 minutes before he was over it and off to explore the next thing! Such is life with a busy toddler :)

And of course, because I love it, he's a look back at last year's Fall photoshoot (Nolan was only 6 Months old!)

Already looking forward to next fall's leaves (and cute sweater!)
