Last present opening post of 2013! Yay!
Since we stayed way past Nolan's bedtime at the Pappases on Christmas Day, we opened presents at Nonna and Pop Pop's house the day after Christmas. By now, Nolan was a pro at this thing, and was ready to dive in! Here are some of the highlights of the morning:
| Wall Easel/Chalkboard from Nonna and Pop Pop! We plan to set this up in the basement as we transform it into a playroom. |
| One of Nolan's favorite gifts - a "Nolan-sized" broom! He uses it all the time! |
| What's in there?? |
| A Christmas-themed book |
| Nolan checking out his new book making sure he doesn't let go of his broom! |
| Uh oh... he's spotted THOMAS ("Dandy!!") |
| Pointing out all the Thomas pictures on the box... while steadily holding on to his broom. |
| Checking out his Thomas Train set and trains! |
| Totally freaking out! |
| Gift from Peggy - a talking Mother Goose |
| He loved the light-up Santa Card "Danda!" |
| Aunt Mary Beth with the Angel I gave her from Ten Thousand Villages |
Nolan had a blast opening all his presents with the family! We rounded out the day with a visit from my BFF Lauren V, who, of course came bearing presents as well. Nolan LOVES his blocks that she gave, and still pulls them out of their shelf asking "Bocks?". They are especially fun to dump all over the floor!

We had a nice dinner with everyone then headed back to PA at Nolan's bedtime. He slept the entire way, exhausted from all the fun! We felt so fortunate to have so many family and friends to celebrate the holidays with. Being stuck inside during this cold winter is a lot easier now with all of his new presents. We're even hiding some in the basement to slowly give to him over the next few weeks/months to keep everything fresh. Next step - operation basement playroom is going to kick into full effect to give Nolan even more play space!
