It was a no-brainer this year that Nolan's birthday party would be Avengers Themed. He has been obsessed for well over a year now!
We wanted a place that would allow free/non-structured play and would be laid back for parents to attend. The Bucks County Children's Museum in New Hope was the perfect fit for this! His party was the weekend after his birthday on April 9th. The only drawback was that it was TOO nice of a day. The first really nice weekend of Spring meant tons of tourists in New Hope which meant limited parking for our guests, but everyone eventually found something!
The Bucks County Children's Museum is like a miniature version of Philadelphia's Please Touch Museum. Lots of fun rooms with different themes that the kids can run their imaginations wild. They also had a very large party room that easily accommodated all the kids and adults.

| Party room getting Avenger-fied! |
| Goodie bags had Avenger masks attached :) |
| It is very easy when the theme is something all over the stores right now! |
| This room had all sorts of make your own race tracks for toy cars and a dinosaur dig for fossils |
| Through that room is all pretend play with a hospital, grocery store, restaurant, garden, and postoffice |
| Entrance |
| The wind tunnel where you can access all different areas in the tunnel to put in handkerchiefs that shoot out from all different exits! |
| Emmy loved the area where you can build wind pipes and watch balls float in the air (especially if she was with pop pop!) |
| The little kids especially loved the water table complete with irrigation gates and boats |
| The big kids mostly loved running all over the place :) Nolan insisted on wearing his iron man costume the entire time, even when he was super sweaty! |
| There they go! Marcus, Nolan, Mason, Henry (the current crew!) |
| In the playhouse room. Love the huge light brite play area underneath the playhouse. |
| Dino dig! |
| Nolan, Emmy, and Henry finding fossils |
It wasn't easy, but we were able to wrangle all the kids back in the room after playing for some pizza and cake!

| Tariq, Rylee, Natalie, Teagan |
| Violette, Mason, Shane, Jaiden, Penny, Vance, Sienna, Emmy |

| Happy Birthday Boy! |
| Awesome Iron Man cake from our local Colonial Farms store! Super delicious too! |
One fun surprise was that Teagan lost her first tooth during the party while eating Pizza! It was fun for everyone to celebrate her big milestone at the party :)

| Nolan did great blowing out the candles this year! |
| Love this kid forever and ever. Couldn't be prouder of who he has become. |
| Nolan got to choose first piece and he chose the one with Iron Man's "blaster" that's on his chest |
| Penny, Vance, Sienna, Emmy, Evan |
| Amelia, Tariq, Rylee, Natalie, Teagan |
After cake, there was time to run around a bit more as everyone had access to the museum til close as part of the party.
| Cousin Mia joined the party! |
| Nolan with Mia and Mattie |
| Emmy and Mia |
Poor Emmy is looking pale in these. She caught some sort of stomach bug and threw up after eating during the party :( We then had to keep her home 3 more days from school until she was over it!
| Emmy the balloon captain |
The kids loved the masks on their goodie bags. Plus they made for some pretty adorable pictures at the end of the party too!
It's always hard dragging kids away from a birthday party, but one enticing offer is that back home there will be lots of toys to open!
| The haul! |
| One excited kiddo ready to open! |
| Score! Batman Lego set! He was so excited! |
| Superman launcher! (There is a definite theme with many of the gifts!) |
| Avenger figurines! |
| His jackpot! The huge batcave from Nonna and Pop Pop (so spoiled!) |
It was a great day celebrating our 5 year old (how did that happen?!) Five seems like a big one with Kindergarten on the horizon. We are so proud of our little man and glad we could provide a fun day to celebrate with friends and family <3 Looking forward to another great year!
