Since we actually whipped out our nice camera for photos this week, I figured it'd be a nice separate post to talk about Nolan's first foray into solids.
Last weekend (Saturday) he tried his first spoonful of rice cereal made very soupy with breast milk.

Consensus?
| Mommy what IS this?? gross! |
Not a fan.
| Not happy |
| Hmm maybe he'll like another bite? |
| "Are you serious guys?" |
| coming out just as fast as it's being put in |
| No Gracias! |
| "Are you really trying more??" |
| Not tasting any better |
| Refusal kicks in |
| Turning away not interested |
| Death stare down |
After much less success the next 3 days (trying to space out each food for allergy reasons), we tried oatmeal on Wednesday (24 weeks).
| Ready for Food #2: Oatmeal |
| Promising first bite |
| Deciding whether he likes it.... |
| Consensus: NOT A FAN! |
| "Mommy, why are you torturing me this week??" |
| 'What just happened??" |
Moral of the story: It was a rough week for solids. I felt bad after the Wednesday incident and gave it a break for the rest of the week. The good news is no allergic reactions to report... assuming enough went down the tube to even cause a reaction....We will re-visit oatmeal again tomorrow. Hopefully he comes around soon. Until then, we'll be enjoying and capturing his hilarious reaction faces :)
