Emilia Caroline is two months old!!
Keeping with
the tradition, we took her two month photos in early April. I love having these to look back on and look at Nolan's daily since they are hanging in our family room!

And of course, my favorite part is watching the progression month to month, and now also looking at how Emmy looked each month
compared to big brother Nolan!

She's definitely growing and filling out! I can see a fuller face and the start of some arm/leg rolls at two months whereas she was pretty lean at one month.

Everyone ALWAYS tells me how much Emmy looks like her brother Nolan, and I can see it in their face, but these photos also show how different they looked at this age too. Emmy has much more hair, a fuller face, and paler skin. Her eyes are still blue/grey so we'll see if they turn brown like Nolan's, but his were obviously brown by this point.
Here are some out-takes as well!

Two Month Stats:
We had our pediatrician appointment on April 12th (double appointment with Nolan for his 3 year checkup!)
Emmy is 1'10'' tall (17th%) and 10lb 5oz (14th%). A little peanut just like her big brother! Nolan stayed around these percentiles as he grew - we'll see if Emmy does the same! Her head is bigger (15.5" - 72nd%) - hopefully because she's going to be a smarty like her brother too ;) The pediatrician was happy with her growth, and we are to come back at 4months. Her birthmark on her foot doesn't seem to be changing (which is good) and the clicking in her knee has stopped (also good) so no further check ups are needed! She got 4 shots and an oral medicine this visit (DTaP, IPV, Hib, Hepatitis B, Pneumocooccal Conjugate, and Rotavirus). Poor girl! She handled it like a champ though! She actually liked the taste of the oral one and calmed down as soon as I held her after the shots in her legs. I remember Nolan being much more hysterical after (but maybe that was the next round?) but she recovered great. Nolan also did AMAZING during his checkup and was super compliant with everything they asked (a first!) even having his blood pressure checked 3x due to instrument issues/weird numbers and didn't cry when his ears and mouth were checked. He's growing up so fast, which couldn't be more obvious when looking back at these photos!
I've been working on getting Emmy sleeping more in her crib this week. We typically let her sleep downstairs with us in the swing until I'm ready to go to bed. The past few nights I've transferred her to the crib from the swing successfully, but she only stays down for another 1-1.5hrs, and then is up every 2hrs or so after that which has made for some rough nights, but at least she is sleeping more in her crib now. We just need to get back to the longer stretches! Glad I have an extra 2 months of leave this time to get in a good place (hopefully!) before I head back to work!
Happy 2 months, Emilia! You are loved! <3
